Dr. Kate Crowgey

Kate Crowgey is a yoga teacher, physical therapist, and mindfulness instructor based in Church Hill, Richmond, VA. Teaching since 2012, she has guided students in Washington, DC, Richmond, and Asheville, NC, and is grateful to once again be part of the Richmond yoga community. With over 3,000 hours of experience teaching yoga and leading yoga teacher trainings, Kate blends modern movement science with the timeless wisdom of yoga to support strength, mobility, and embodied awareness.

With advanced training in Kripalu Yoga and Ayurveda, her classes are grounded, compassionate, and deeply intentional. She offers accessible, mindful flows that draw from yoga philosophy and her background in orthopedic physical therapy. Kate supports safety by helping students develop a deeper awareness of their own bodies—offering individualized guidance and thoughtful technique cues to help each person move with clarity and care.

For Kate, mindfulness is the thread that connects movement, breath, and presence. She believes it’s a powerful tool for healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and finds joy in sharing its benefits with her community.
