There's a special Transition that occurs in Physical Therapy. It's that Transition when a patient goes from sad, surly, blunt with pain, and anxious to calm, peaceful - it's almost like watching a personality shift - you know that your patient has made Real Progress when they start making jokes. And, it is one of the most beautiful moments to witness. You can trust us with your pain. We will stick with you to get you back to laughing again. We have real objectives, our goal is to get you to tolerate your body weight (within your current capacity to do so...) and then, Transition you to Yoga and out of PT, providing you space to be Independent in Community.
The Story of the Two Arrows

A teacher asks his students, "What would happen if a man was struck by an arrow?"
His students reply, "Pain and bleeding." The teacher then asks his students, "What would happen if he was then struck by a second arrow?" His students yell, "Worse: Suffering! Despair! Agony!"
The teacher replies, "The first arrow is pain, and it is inevitable. The second arrow is suffering,
and it is optional."
The lesson we derive from this story is that pain is part of the natural course of life. We all get struck with an arrow or arrows during the course of our lives. At Second Arrow, we are here to help you work with and rise above the pain; to help you become as independent as possible when walking or rolling through this world. That second arrow, the suffering, is optional, unnecessary, and we work together towards the challenge of acceptance and letting go often best done through regular community and safe activity.
